Product Marketing Manager
The Product Marketing Manager will play a key role in building Highland’s marketing function from the ground up. This role will help drive sales, support customer and stakeholder engagement, and cement Highland as the leading player in fleet electrification in North America.
As a member of a small but mighty team, and reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, the Product Marketing Manager will be both strategic and tactical, working on a wide variety of projects, including: buyer journey mapping, persona creation, and customer focus groups; working with sales and the Product Director on go-to-market strategies; developing positioning and messaging that resonates with target audiences; and creating compelling sales and marketing strategy and collateral.
Responsibilities
Working closely with the Head of Marketing, develop and execute a comprehensive product marketing strategy that engages customers and supports Highland’s business goals
Help lay the groundwork for an effective marketing function, including defining customer personas, mapping customer buying journeys, and discovering buyer insights through focus groups
Perform competitive marketing analysis
Use deep understanding of customer needs and the EV landscape in North America to create product positioning and messaging that resonates with customers
Develop clear, compelling customer-facing content across multiple channels, including website, case studies, whitepapers, presentations, webinars, cut sheets and technical sales collateral
Skills
5+ years of experience in product marketing roles, preferably in EV or related industry
Ability to work cross-functionally and thrive in fast-paced startup environments
Ability to operate independently and meet deadlines, but also able to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team
Extremely organized, with high attention to detail
Successful track record of helping drive sales
A great storyteller who crafts messages that resonate with customers and understands how best to reach them
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Creative problem-solving skills
Thrives in a fast-paced environment where individuals wear many hats
Familiarity with tools such as Sprout, Hubspot or Salesloft, Salesforce, InDesign, etc. preferred
Experience with marketing automation, A/B testing, and reporting preferred
