Product Marketing Associate

Location: Remote; Beverly, MA - hybrid

Description:

Highland is looking for a Product Marketing Associate who is equal parts strategic, analytical, creative, and emotionally intelligent.

As an early member of the Product Marketing team, you’ll gather and process data to develop positioning for key products and features, support commercial teams with collateral & tools, conduct customer focus groups, and partner with our technical teams on roadmap, internal trainings, and product launches.

This is a highly cross functional role that reports to our Product Marketing Manager. You’ll get the opportunity to work across all aspects of the business and become an expert in fleet electrification in the process. A strong candidate will have experience or express a strong interest in EVs, climate change mitigation, energy, project finance, education, or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Own key components of the Product Marketing function – such as sales enablement, collateral creation, and primary & secondary stakeholder research

  • Build out existing foundations for an effective Product Marketing function & Marketing team – including defining customer personas, mapping customer buying journeys, and discovering buyer insights through focus groups

  • Develop deep understanding of the EV landscape in North America to continue to build and position our suite of products

  • Create clear, compelling customer-facing content across multiple channels, including case studies, whitepapers, presentations, webinars, website, cut sheets, and technical sales collateral

Skills

  • 1-3 years of experience in product marketing, consulting, product management, or related roles

  • Ability to work cross-functionally, influence without authority, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment

  • A strategic thinker – able to break down and simplify complex problems & industries

  • Extremely organized, with high attention to detail

  • Experience with stakeholder interviews & focus groups (preferred)

  • Experience in EVs, climate change mitigation, energy, project finance, education, or related industries (preferred)

  • Ability to operate independently and meet deadlines, but also able to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team

  • A great storyteller who understands how best to reach customers and crafts messages that resonate with them

  • Familiarity with tools including PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe InDesign
