Analyst, Project Development

We aim to mitigate risk for our customers, increase electric school bus market penetration, and deliver positive impacts across a broad spectrum of stakeholders: students, communities, school districts, fleet operators, manufacturers, and utilities.


  • Responsible for completing the development of electric school bus infrastructure at multiple sites simultaneously, including equipment procurement and integration, ensuring completion of power infrastructure design and utility interconnection, and school district coordination

  • Proactively and creatively solve problems that have the potential to derail projects, including related to permitting, utility process, and charger and vehicle procurement, and customer operational challenges during construction

  • Develop strategic partnerships and strong relationships with vendors and outside resources to facilitate collaboration between all involved and keep projects on schedule and within budget

  • Work closely with legal and commercial teams to develop sites to maximize flexibility and overall project value

  • Act as a key resource for origination during early stages of project development, providing input on equipment selection, site feasibility, and infrastructure pricing

  • Collaborate with Fleet Operations teams to prepare for commercial operation, including scheduling training, facilitating vehicle registration, and preparing District personnel.

  • Keep organized records of project costs to update forecasts and inform new project underwriting

  • Review/approve invoices, monitor actuals vs projected spend, and develop strategies for cost containment

  • Track and report out on project status, including tracking progress, making updates based on changes to development plan, and flagging deviations in project timeline or plan

  • Create standard operating procedures to improve future development


  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Project management skills a plus

  • Prior experience in electrical or civil engineering environment a plus

  • Self-motivated: proactively assume responsibilities, with ability to operate effectively with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Ability to collaborate across departments within the company as well as external customers and partners

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Comfortable managing and driving collaboration between contractors

  • Interest or prior knowledge of electric vehicles, transportation, and/or energy a plus

  • Ability to manage numerous tasks at once

  • Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
